The police in Western Australia have identified a man who was beaten to death on Sydney's northern beaches early Sunday morning as the son of rock star Angry Anderson. Police say it took several officers and pepper spray to restrain a man who they found beating 26-year-old Liam Anderson in an attack that may have lasted a half an hour.
The 26-year-old was flown by an emergency service helicopter to a hospital but he died while it was taking off. The attacker has been identified as a 20-year-old man who was arrested at the scene in Queenscliff.

Detective Inspector Michael Boutouridis said the attack on Anderson was particularly violent. "It was quite a bloody scene. The man we have in custody was violent and it took a number of police officers to subdue and arrest him," Det Isp Boutouridis said. "Capsicum spray was used, OC spray, and significant force was used to arrest him."
Det Isp Boutouridis said investigators believe he could have been under the influence of drugs during the attack. Police say the brutal beating death was a targeted attack and the men were acquaintances. Charges are expected to be filed late Sunday. The older Anderson was playing a show at the Charles Hotel in North Perth Saturday night. A statement was released on behalf of the Anderson family by his manager.

Nearby residents heard the attack but did nothing as they were unaware of what was truly taking place. "I just heard a lot of, say for at least half an hour, moaning," a witness told Seven News. "Then we found out it was obviously him being kicked or stabbed. We should have looked out but we didn't."
Another witness of Anderson's last minutes said it sounded like someone was doing boot camp. "It just sounded like boot camp, a guy doing boot camp, running up the hill and exhaling," Kim Luker said. Friends of the victim have begun gathering at the scene of his death to leave flowers and handwritten notes.

Be gentle and so careful the murderer doesn’t get hurt. Really…several officers and pepper spray. Don’t you have a gun on that floating prison? All the young innocent Australians covered in the many videos, dying horrific deaths only to have police bungle it up or the perp serving short sentences…its painful to watch. Nothing to be proud of.
