Iran “Toughest Ever Sanctions” Start On Anniversary US Hostage Crisis

Theatrical and timed, that is the least you can say about the date US President Trump has chosen to start what he calls the “toughest ever sanctions” on the Iranian regime of the Ayatollahs. Set both one day before the Midterm election and on the 39th anniversary of the US hostage crisis of 1979, POTUS sure knows how to sell a date.

The marking is timed to coincide with the siege of the American embassy on 4 November 1979, an event that marked both the fall of the US-backed shah and the subsequent election in the US of Republican mythic president Ronald Reagan.

At the time, 52 Americans were held hostage in the embassy for 444 days. Iran and the US have been sworn enemies ever since.

And now, by imposing further sanctions, Mr Trump’s move already sparked mass protests in the oil-rich Persian nation which saw thousands on the streets chanting the infamous "Death to America" whilst the hardliners rejected calls for talks.

Just before traveling to yet another campaign rally for the US mid-term elections, President Donald Trump claimed correctly that Iran was struggling under his administration's policies.

Speaking about the Middle Eastern nation that has seen its currency plunge as soon as the US announced it would re-impose sanctions and pull out of the Obama administration nuclear deal, Mr. Trump said: "The Iran sanctions are very strong. They are the strongest sanctions we've ever imposed. And we'll see what happens with Iran, but they're not doing very well, I can tell you."

US Secretary of State, Mr. Mike Pompeo, added: "We are working diligently to make sure we support the Iranian people and that we direct our actions towards ensuring that the Islamic Republic of Iran's malign behavior is changed."

"That's the goal, that's the mission, and that's what we will achieve on behalf of the president."

Meanwhile, Iranian state media claimed millions of regime supporters demonstrated and swore allegiance to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who gave a fiery speech in which he warned the US would not "re-establish the domination" it had over Iran before 1979.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="">@SecPompeo</a>: &quot;The sanctions that will be reimposed tomorrow are the toughest sanctions ever put in place on the Islamic Republic of Iran.&quot; <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#FNS</a> <a href=""></a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Fox News (@FoxNews) <a href="">November 5, 2018</a></blockquote>

There were however also reports of Iranians posting their frustration with the regime on social media. Under the hashtag #Sorry_US_Embassy_Siege, there are already more than 19,000 tweets.

An unknown user stated: "Over the past 40 years, the Islamic regime of Iran tried to present the US and Israel as Iran's enemies. But Iranian people do not think like mullahs. We love all nations and all people of the world."

Another said: "America is not our enemy, our enemies have taken us as hostages in our own home country."

Iran has seen repeated demonstrations against the regime this year as the economic hardship and knowledge that life would be better with a democratic government is hard on the mostly younger generation.

The Media loves to show an American Flag burning in the ISLAMIC IRANIAN State Gov sponsored Demonstrations.

But we are lucky to see or hear any word that IRAN has had dozens of Internal MASSIVE RIOTS in the last 3 years. Riots where the citizen were protesting 10th century style cleric rulers and are fed-up with the ISLAMIC Radical Clerics running the Gov and control every speck of their lives.

Many experts speculate if Obama had NOT given those plane loads of $$$$ to the Iranian Clerics, their control would have collapsed and the Iranian international sponsored terrorism would have been drastically reduced to a trickle.
