The US embassy in Tanzania sent out a travel warning over the weekend to its citizens urging them to check their social media posts as the African nation was due to start its crackdown on ‘gays,’ a policy they announced last week.
The US alert stated that “There are reports of Tanzanian Government Officials calling for the arrest of LGBTI people and monitoring activity via social media. Employ sound security practices including monitoring local and international news.”

Under the new law put in place in the capital Dar es Salaam, homosexuals can face up to 30 years in jail for "carnal knowledge of any person against the order of nature."
Seeing the international uproar that this new policy brought with it, the Tanzanian foreign ministry said that the national government was not supporting the planned crackdown: "The government of the United Republic of Tanzania would like to clarify that those are his own views and not the government position."

President Magufuli has moved against homosexuality since winning power in 2015.
Already in 2016, Tanzania banned organizations from giving out free lubricants to gays. The distribution of lubricant aims to curb the spread of HIV.
Then in 2017, the authorities arrested 12 men in a raid at a Dar es Salaam hotel, with officials saying the gathering was promoting same-sex relationships.
It now wants to spread that policy further and make hundreds of arrests this week.

And the lgbt community is up in arms when theres an off color comment in the us. Try prison for 30 years. We truly have a blessed life.
I hope they succeed in purging their nation of sin and degeneracy.
All the LGBT communities need to rush to Tanzania & protest this!
Lets set up a go fund me page so the ones that cannot afford the trip are able to go. One way tickets only.
We can send more there that way.
If you are a LGBT you must go to help. They must be able to get free lube, it is barbaric that such a program would be banned!
One free super sized bottle of lube to every super duper LGBT that goes to Tanzania.
Looks like the fairy in pink is pleased with the way he is being led away.
