Twitter Suppresses Voter ID Tweets

Twitter seems to be penalizing certain users for referring to the importance of voter identification to ensure that our democracy isn't tampered with. Considering all the talk regarding Russian bots in light of a few Twitter accounts, Facebook pages and a few ads, you would think that ensuring democracy isn't hacked would be important. At least a couple of Twitter users with large followings found themselves locked out of their account shortly before election time. The tweets in question didn't violate Twitter terms of service but do mention the importance of Voter ID laws.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">😂😂😂<br><br>2018 has been one hell of a year for Twitter and Facebook. <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Jack Murphy (@RealJack) <a href="">November 5, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

In the case of Jack Murphy, he had to delete the "offensive tweet" before he could use Twitter again. Murphy is @RealJack at Twitter and has a fairly large following, nearly 1/4 million. And what was so offensive? "Hey @TheDemocrats, Don't let Russia interfere in 2020! #DemandVoterID." Apologies to anyone who was seriously offended by such crude and inappropriate language.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Are you joking me <a href="">@Twitter</a>???<br><br>My account was locked for this crap?<br><br>Wow! <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Jack Murphy (@RealJack) <a href="">November 5, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

Murphy was not the only one, however, often the tweets in question referred to Voter ID sometimes mentioning Russian intervention as well.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">So Twitter has a rule against tweets supporting <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#VoterID</a> and election integrity (figures). <br><br>They’re imposing this rule NINE MONTHS later, just one day before the midterm elections? <br><br>Are they kidding?? <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ElectionDay2018</a> <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ElectionDay</a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Jeffrey Marty 🇺🇸 (@Jeffrey_Marty) <a href="">November 5, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Mine was too. <a href="">@twitter</a> <a href="">@jake</a> this is what communists do. Censor… <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Drew Wayne (@Drewdini_) <a href="">November 6, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Wow. This seems rather stupid and likely illegal, to suspend accounts discussing genuine electoral or political proposals. Political discussion is actually protected speech, and <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#VoterID</a> is a real question on the N. Carolina ballot this year. cc: <a href="">@POTUS</a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Keith Barrett (@KeithBarrett) <a href="">November 6, 2018</a></blockquote>

<script async src="" charset="utf-8"></script>

Voter ID laws are often smeared as racist despite the fact that photo ID is required to watch an R-rated movie, buy cigarettes, drink alcohol, rent a hotel room, board an airplane and numerous other every day tasks. An argument against them is that they can be confusing and sometimes rules are changed close to polling time. Always check with your local laws and keep your voter registration up to date to prevent yourself from being turned away at the voting booth regardless of the local ordinances.

They are part of the democratic globalist`s agenda.

They hate America & wish the whole world was of third world status.

So they may have power & oppression over all.

Any type of censoring of social media makes them the enemy of We the People!

There's no such thing as 'we the people'. Everybody has different opinions and different ways of thinking.

Also: if something is an outfaced lie, it's banned and deleted from socialmedia. Sorry if you can't handle that. Truth is a singular entity, it's not subject to opinion.

You're using a mobile phone and computer built on truth. Scientific facts and processes were applied to make your computer work. Think about that next time you post crazy conspiracy theories.

Oh, by the way, 'the GoldWater' isn't really a reputable website for obvious reasons. If you log on to this and think all these opinions are 'real news', you are likely either mentally handicapped or mentally ill. Please seek professional help. It'll aid your life.
