Paris Riots – Government: ''Hundreds Of Far-Right Extremists'' Attacking Police (Video)

After one week of protesting, blocking roads, fuel depots, and shopping centers, the movement of the ‘gilets jaunes’ (yellow vests) in France has turned political after Paris descended into rioting when some 8,000 protesters clashed with police.

The security forces responded with tear gas and water cannons to disperse those protesters who were throwing stones at them and had erected barricades in the Champs-Elysées.

Protesters could be heard shouting slogans calling for President Emmanuel Macron to resign.

French Interior Minister Christope Castaner immediately blamed Marine Le Pen, leader of the rightwing Rassemblement National (formerly the Front National) whom he accused of having sent “hundreds of far-right extremists” which could be seen attacking police all over the French capital.

“Extreme right has been mobilized to escalate these protests,” says Minister Castaner, “On the spot where the police had to intervene, there were clearly extreme right-wing militants who responded to Le Pen's appeal to attack institutions because they wanted to attack the government.”

Ms. Le Pen had on Friday slammed the government for not allowing the protesters to go onto the Champs-Elysées, and today the Interior Minister says it is because of that call that violence erupted.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">VIDEO: An explosion rang out at a protest barricade in central Paris as violent clashes erupted on the <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ChampsElysees</a>, where thousands of yellow vest-wearing protesters angry at fuel tax hikes battled with police <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#YellowVests</a> <a href=";ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#GiletsJaunes</a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; AFP news agency (@AFP) <a href="">November 24, 2018</a></blockquote>

Today, having seen the accusations towards her by the Macron government, Ms. Le Pen responded: “I had asked the government why it did not allow them #GiletsJaunes to protest on the Champs-Elysées. Today Mr. Castaner uses this question to target me. It is shabby and dishonest to do this. Such a manipulating politician.”

British conservative commentator Katie Hopkins already pointedly remarked ‘Do I smell revolution in the air?’

Demonstrations have been also held in many other cities, including Lille, Lyon, and Bordeaux, with a number of minor clashes and arrests reported. The French government admitted that once again some 81,000 'Yellow Vests' protesters demonstrated around the country

When police use force against peaceful protestors, those protestors have EVERY right to reciprocate that violence.

Heavily taxed $7.00 a gallon fuel, no wonder they're rioting. How can you run any business with such high fuel costs.

They need a $7.00 gas tax. How else can they pay for the food and supplies of immigrants?
