Joe Biden has given us a masterclass in how good intentions and a positive goal can be twisted inward on itself in a moment's time. Truth is we have been in Afghanistan too long, we had been there too long in 2003 when the "Mission Accomplished" sign was flown by Bush II. That said, there are right and wrong ways to accomplish a good thing and Biden has bungled this so bad our allies are questioning his sanity.
