In an amazing victory for Trump Supporters across America once again the President’s ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’ mantra proved to truthful and prophetic.
The House of Representatives via the GOP has proposed $1.6 Billion to finance the President’s Border Wall. President Trump must be ecstatic at the news with a heavily smug face right now.
The majority of House Republicans on the Appropriations Committee have promised to deliver their down payment for President Donald Trump’s border wall. Now they'll be taking the fight directly to the Democrats, potentially sparking a government shutdown in the fall.
President Trump during the Presidential campaign in 2016 promised the people he would build a wall, the best wall, on the southern US border and make Mexico pay for it.
The organized committee released a Homeland Security Bill on Tuesday which includes $1.6 Billion to set aside specifically for the border wall.
The total amount matches the President’s requested amount of funds to pay for the construction, as reported earlier this year.
Senate Democrats have vowed to fight the bill, but there isn't much they can do with it outside of forcing a government shutdown. They swore to block a similar attempt earlier this year, but President Trump and his Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Mick Mulvaney, have stated that they will not let up on this fight.
Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama, a member of the Freedom Caucus, said, “I am willing to do whatever it takes in the Senate to ensure President Trump’s promise to the American people of,” adding, “I’ll aggressively oppose every single spending bill that doesn’t fund the border wall and expose every Republican establishment Senator who sides with the Democrats against our President.”
I don't think America is tired of winning yet, and it looks like the President will force the left’s hand here in getting his agenda pushed through one way or another. Build the wall!
