2 Teens Dead, 3 Others Injured Following Police Hot Pursuit in Woodward

Reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicate that two teens are dead and three others injured after a wreck in Woodward, OK, early this morning.

The wreck is believed to have happened this morning at the intersection of 20th Street and Madison Avenue just after midnight. The Law Enforcement revealed that a vehicle being driven by a 14-year-old boy, with four other passengers, was driving westbound on Madison Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection.

The authorities in Woodward attempted to pull the vehicle over, and it continued westbound on Madison Avenue and allegedly accelerated to a high rate of speed. The vehicle is reported to have struck a curb at the intersection of 20th Street and Madison Avenue, went airborne, and rolled one time.

The vehicle had three passengers onboard, two 13-year-olds and a 12-year-old all who were not wearing their seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. Officials have reported that one of the 13-year-olds and the 12-year-old were transported to Alliance Health in Woodward where they were later pronounced dead.

The other 14-year-old passenger and the driver were transported to the hospital, treated for head injuries and released. The 13-year-old was transported to Alliance Health and transferred to OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City.
