HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US commenced on the 20th of January, 2017 at 9am, this was the same day that the 45th President of the United States was being inaugurated.
LaBeouf invited the public to deliver the words "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" into a camera mounted on a wall outside the Museum of the Moving Image, New York, repeating the phrase as many times, and for as long as they wish.
The participatory performance will be open to all, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it will be live-streamed continuously for four years, or the duration of the presidency.
LaBeouf hopes that the mantra "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" will act as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.
This vision faced an obstacle on the 10th of February 2017 after the Museum of the Moving Image abandoned the project.
A few days later, on the February 18, 2017, the project relocated to a wall outside the El Rey Theater, Albuquerque.
The project was later moved on the 8th of March 2017, to an unknown location. A flag emblazoned with the words "HE WILL NOT DIVIDE US" will be flown for the duration.
