According to the San Francisco Police Department a vehicle traveling at an extreme rate or speed crashed into eight people.
The assault occurred earlier this morning near the intersection of Miramar and Ocean Avenues near the Westwood Park neighborhood, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
At least eight people have reportedly been careflighted to nearby hospitals two of which include children although none of the injuries appear to be life threatening.
While local reports say they cannot confirm whether or not the act was intentional it's far too early to speculate on such motives.
At this time law enforcement say they've apprehended the suspect but have yet to release an identity in relation to whom the driver may have been.
