Police in Jackson, Mississippi say they're searching for a man they believe may have been involved in a homicide.
Investigators said that 36 year old Ayanna Thames drove to the Deluxe Inn on U.S. 80, where she can be seen on security footage, then potentially got into an argument with an unidentified black male subject inside of her vehicle.

In the footage you can see Miss Thames take off on foot fleeing her own vehicle at which time the passenger, a black male, hops out and then jumps into the driver's seat before stealing the car.
In the video when Thames can be seen running away, she had apparently been stabbed multiple times by the criminal suspect, according to officers, and she was trying to scream for help.
Hotel employees then rushed to her side and called 911, and shortly thereafter emergency medical responders transported Thames to the University of Mississippi Medical Center where she succumbed to her wounds and was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives say they later recovered the stolen sedan which had been abandoned by the suspect on the side of the road several miles away.
As of this time detectives have no information as to the identity of the black male suspect and are asking the community for assistance in identifying the killer.
