Law enforcement from the Mobile, Alabama Police Department say that they've made two arrests in connection to an overnight homicide.
According to Mobile Police, both Jyquan Richardson and Jatavious Bailey are responsible for the killing of 40 year old Lakedrick Lucy.
The murder took place near the intersections of North Ann Street and Old Shell Road, a part of Mobile which has been plagued by both gang and drug activity that has led to 30 homicides this year alone as of today, on par to surpass the 44 total in 2016.

Police say the body of Lucy was found in the foyer of an apartment complex nearby, when a resident walked out in the morning to head to work and to his dismay found a body.
The resident also said that he heard gunshots earlier that night around 1:30 AM but it was so common in the area that he thought nothing of it.
Investigators believe that Lucy was shot elsewhere and ran for help but collapsed in the foyer where he succumbed to his gunshot wounds.
The two teens are being transported to the Mobile County Jail where they will sit awaiting murder charges without bond until an arraignment.
