A woman attending a The Weeknd’ concert in Columbus, Ohio, claims she was raped by two crew members who used “their hands, feet and teeth” as “weapons” against her.
TMZ first reported the case, which took place during the singer’s concert at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Ohio University Police are now investigating the case.
The XO Tour Manager reacted to the news by firing the staff who allegedly raped the woman. He said: "Upon learning of the accusations that two members of our tour staff are facing, we immediately terminated their employment. We are working with the authorities to ensure they have access to any information or assistance they may need."
The Weeknd and his crew are no strangers to police questioning. The list of criminal issues involving the singer is quite long already.Back in 2015, the singer was involved in a fight with police officers
The 27 year old singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, was arrested in January 2015 in Las Vegas when police were called to intervene in a fight he had gotten into with an unnamed other. When an officer tried to break it up, the singer punched the police officer in the face. Mr. Tesfaye was taken to jail and charged with battery of a protected person.
It would later become known that the singer had gotten into the fight because someone had made fun of his hair. Surprising.
In 2014, one of his crew members (Derek Bissue—better known to rap fans as Derek Wise, a member of the Weeknd's XO crew) was arrested for 15 (we repeat fifteen) charges of human trafficking. At that time, a 21-year old woman said she was forced to have sex with other members of the Weeknd’s crew by Mr. Bissue.
Mr. Bissue has appeared in many of the Weeknd’s music videos and the two are known to be good friends.
