Baby Rapist and Murder Suspect On The Loose

Erie News received reports from Pennsylvania State Police indicating that as of Wednesday they are working with Conneaut, Ohio Police to track down the man who was charged in the brutal death of a one-year-old baby.

The innocent 13-month-old Sereniti Sutley was buried on Monday after her 22-year-old mom found her unconscious on the Oct. 7 in their Clark Street apartment in Conneaut.

The police issued an arrest warrant on Friday for the mother’s boyfriend who has been identified as Joshua Dale Gurto, 37.

Gurto has been charged with the murder and rape of the innocent girl. It turns out that he has ties to both northwestern Pennsylvania and Conneaut. The last time that he was spotted was on Friday in Girard.

"We follow up on the leads, so if he's seen in that area, we'll take the proper action and follow up on those," said Trooper Cindy Owens with Pennsylvania State Police. "We do have a vehicle description that we've been out looking for as well, not just the Girard troopers but also the troopers out of the Erie barracks and Meadville barracks."

Any leads that might offer information that might lead to the arrest of Guerto will be rewarded up to $5,000. The authorities have also guaranteed that any tips offered will remain anonymous.

The police have also revealed that the suspect has a deformed right ear and jaw that is tilted to the left side of his face. Any tips leading to the arrest of suspect can be directed to Conneaut Police by calling 440-593-7440.
