Reno, Nevada Police responded to a call of an active shooter after a gunman opened fire from a balcony at Montage. Multiple casualties were called out over the police radio. Video of the scene was shared by @BreakingNNow.

Currently, Rhino police are coordinating with law enforcement from other counties due to an apparent lack of person to respond to the event. Early reports indicate at least six shots were fired and Reno police have warned people to avoid the area.

Police radio communications indicate the Reno police are currently establishing an operating point and a presence around the hotel while some officers stage from inside. Photos of the suspect have been issued and he remains at large.
The number of victims or identities have not been confirmed.
