An undisclosed number of police officers was shot in Denver an hour ago as security forces are advising citizens in Douglas County to stay indoors. If first reports are to be believed, police were responding to a domestic disturbance when they were shot. SWAT is being called in.

Deputy Jason Blanchard said of the incident at Copper Canyon Apartments in Highlands Ranch that his forces “have multiple officers down.”
“We are not giving numbers or status at this point, we are still working on getting the suspect in custody.”
Local residents were warned the suspect is still at large and to stay away from windows and walls.

A local reporter arriving at the scene said she could indeed see the police being shot at.
According to Ms Lauren Lekander, the police department’s spokeswoman, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was arriving at the scene, a home near the 3400 block of County Line Road.
