Israel’s Prime Minister launched a sharp answer to its regional foe Iran after it appeared that the first plane of the air force to be lost since 2006 was due to an Iranian drone crossing the Syria-Israel border.

Though Iran has denied the allegation, Israel’ defence forces have released video footage of the Iranian drone crossing into their airspace and afterwards being shot down and the result is indeed quite stunning.

Prime Minister Netanyahu warned Iran in a very sharp manner that it would be Israel's policy to defend itself against "any attempt to harm our sovereignty.”

"Iran brazenly violated Israel's sovereignty. They dispatched an Iranian drone from Syrian territory into Israel. Israel holds Iran and its Syrian hosts responsible."

Israel’s defense forces added: Iran is the aggressor here. They sent aUAV on a military mission, violating Israeli sovereignty. The Israeli Defense Force is ready for all scenarios, urging Iran and Syria to cease aggression.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been supporting President Assad's government in Syria's civil war, called Mr Netanyahu personally afterwards, stressing the need to avoid a "dangerous escalation."

What is happening in the Middle East? Looks like the beginning of WW3.

Wasn’t the Israeli Air Force bugging around others air space all year around?

Israel is like the kid who can’t take the banter and instantly goes to the teacher.
