Authorities in South Africa had ordered the destruction of various shacks near a township in Kwadwesi, not far from Port Elizabeth on South Africa's eastern cape coast.
One 38-year-old man got so upset about the planned demolition of his family house that he had taken his six-month-old daughter and dared the police that he would throw her off the roof should they come closer to his construction.

Other township protesters can be heard trying to get the father to do it, chanting: 'Throw, throw, throw'.
At first, the man dangles the infant dangerously over the edge by her ankle, before swinging her ever further over the edge as a policeman climbs on the roof.

In the end, the father does throw the daughter off the roof, but luckily she is immediately caught by the half-a-dozen policemen lined up on the ground below, before another officer holds him with a tight grip.

Police spokesman Mr Andre Beetge: “At about 10.40am a 38-year-old man climbed onto the roof of one of the structures and held a one-year-old girl in his hands.”

“This was done to force the team not to demolish the structure.”
“Due to the dangerous threat to the safety of the child police set out a plan to rescue the little girl and arrest the male and one of our officers successfully caught the girl as she was flung.”

You are right Johnny Neptune, my spellcheck should have picked that up mate. We'll correct.
pretty sad people find speech and penmanship more important then the content of the article. I hope to God that baby is given to adoption rather then back to a father that would rathe rmurder his child sto punish those attacking him Rather then to start over with the child by his side
In the second paragraph, it says "his six-months-old daughter", when the correct terminology would've been "his six-month-old daughter"… there was no need to add an S at the end of the word 'month'. the 'journalists' at Jim Watkins' bullshit excuse for a news organization are illiterate Filipino Prostitutes.
