The Cheesecake Factory restaurant has officially apologized for an alleged incident that occured at one of their locations inside Dadeland Mall. Eugenior Joseph was attempting to dine at the restaurant with his date while wearing a MAGA hat. According to Joseph and other witnesses, this resulted in several members of the staff making a scene that involved pointing at him and his hat, with one witness describing the staff having her finger "literally on his head."

In addition to "threatening gestures" from several of the staff, one witness claims that someone called the 22-year-old a "n**ger."
"So then all the employees started standing there, saying things out loud, like, 'I'm going to knock his head in so hard his hat's going to come off," one witness complained.
One employee attempted to be especially intimidating. "He got behind me and another coworker came by and they were staring at each other and he fist bumped him and then he started looking at me, balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me," Joseph reported to the Daily Wire.
"I got up and went to the restroom, my girlfriend followed me, and as we were walking back, a group of [the employees] came out from the back and they just started clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me," Joseph says.

The Senior Director of Public Relations at The Cheesecake Factory made an official statement regarding the event:
No guest should ever feel unwelcomed in one of our restaurants and we are taking this matter very seriously. Upon learning of this incident, we immediately apologized to the guests in person. We are conducting an investigation and will take the appropriate corrective action.

Cheesecake Factory also claimed that "the individuals involved in the incident have been suspended pending the results of our investigation." Joseph however says the Cheesecake Factory never reached out to him personally and there was no actual apology when the incident happened.
