Legendary athlete Tiger Woods was arrested early Monday for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Military Trail just south of Indian Creek Parkway in Jupiter Town, Florida.
The once top golfer was busted around 3 a.m. and was later released on his own recognizance, according to a Jupiter police spokesperson.
Woods, 41, lives nearby on a palatial estate on Jupiter Island. Previously adored and recognized for his game-changing brilliance and rising to sports prominence, Woods' career and marriage were wrecked by a sex scandal. He has not seemed to have recovered since then. Once acknowledged as one of the greatest golfers of all time, Woods has not won a major tournament since June 2008.
