Over 100 Firefighters Battle Four-Alarm-Fire in New York City

There's a massive fire raging inside the New York City neighborhood of Hamilton Heights, which has over 100 first responders from the New York City Fire Department on the scene trying to combat the blaze.

According to authorities the fire first broke at around 3 PM this afternoon at the seven-story building on West 144th Street.

Witnesses have recorded video that is circulating on social media of the ongoing blaze.

More than 40 different fire departments are sending resources to stop the fire, in hopes to save as many lives as possible.

There is massive black plumes of smoke billowing from the windows and rooftops spreading all across the Hamilton Heights region, where locals are warned to keep their windows closed and their apartments well ventilated.

Pieces of the building are also falling down into the sidewalk, where pedestrians and locals are being told to avoid the area as a perimeter is maintained by the New York Police Department.

Currently there are no reports of injuries but this is a breaking story, and no official statement has been given by law enforcement as of this time.
