Latest Apple iOS Software Offers New Safety Feature

Apple added a new safety feature to the latest iOS.

Users are now able to make emergency calls to law enforcement agencies, firefighters and emergency contacts without using dialers.

Here's how it works:

Please update iPhone to the latest version of iOS 11.

Press the power button 5 times to open the "emergency SOS" screen.

Sliding the red icon labeled "SOS" will immediately call 911.

When entering this screen, Touch ID will be disabled until you enter the passcode.

Apple also offers faster options that can be changed in settings.

Go to the settings application.

Search, "emergency SOS"

Activate "Auto call" on the menu,

Pressing the power button 5 times starts the countdown and returns to 911. It takes 3 seconds to cancel.

From the same settings menu, you can disable the loud alarm that goes off when the countdown is started. There is also a section to add emergency contacts that can be reached when an "SOS" call is made.
