Brexit – UK Opposition Labour Pushing For Softer Stance

The UK’s opposition party is trying to win over the center-leaning Tory members of PM May’s conservative party to change their minds when it comes to a so-called ‘Hard Brexit.’

As more polls indicate that a majority of Brits are having second thoughts on Brexit and wish to stay in the EU, the British government is seeking a way to remain on a friendly basis with the EU, continue the Brexit, but still retain all the advantages.

Exactly a week ago, I said that the press was pushing for opposition leader Mr. Corbyn to change his stance on Brexit if he ever wants to become PM and it now appears his base is hearing that call.

The Brexit adviser to the UK opposition Labour Party, Mr. Keir Starmer, put it well when he explained that it might be better for the UK to ‘stay in the customs union’ after all: "It's really important for our manufacturing base."

"And nobody can answer the question how you keep your commitment to no hard border in Northern Ireland without a customs union.”

Marr: "After we leave, who will be in charge of trade policy?"
Starmer: "That will have to be negotiated."@Keir_Starmer confirms a Labour government would sell out the British public on Brexit and tie us into a protectionist Customs Union with the EU. "Crunch time is now coming for the prime minister because the majority in parliament does not back her approach to a customs union and will be heard sooner rather than later."

Corbyn will be abandoning millions of Labour voters by calling for Brexit In Name Only. As a lifelong Eurosceptic, he’s selling his soul in a political play, duped by Keir Starmer, the Blairites and the London Labour elite.

A man of principle? No. Just another career politician! pic.twitter.com/dYlRCk2sgi
— LEAVE.EU (@LeaveEUOfficial) February 25, 2018

All eyes are now clearly on Prime Minister May again of whom many know that she originally did not want a Brexit but with the resignation of former PM Cameron and the win of the Brexit camp in the referendum, really had no choice left.
