US President Donald Trump paid close attention to the Texas press yesterday apparently when Governor Greg Abbott and Senator Ted Cruz warned that the left would ‘crawl over broken glass to vote in November’ and that the Republicans were being outnumbered in early voting.
Mr Trump, therefore, urged his “many Texas friends” to vote in the Republican primary for Sen. Ted Cruz and other incumbents.

“I want to encourage all of my many Texas friends to vote in the primary for Governor Greg Abbott, Senator Ted Cruz, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and Attorney General Ken Paxton," he tweeted. "They are helping me to Make America Great Again! Vote early or on March 6th.”
Trump followed up later that same day with roaring endorsements for Agriculture Commissioner Mr Sid Miller and Land Commissioner Mr George P. Bush.

Texas LC George P. Bush backed me when it wasn’t the politically correct thing to do, and I back him now. Finally, he asked people for their support for Comptroller Glenn Hegar and Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick. Both Mr Miller and Mr Bush are faced with an uphill struggle in their primary race.
Governor Abbott had asked Texas GOP supporters yesterday already for action when he sent out a letter stating: “Numbers of the first week of Early Voting should shock every conservative to their core.”
