Emergency responders say it is a "miracle" the woman walked away from the crash with only a sore back. Paramedics assisted her and determined she did not need to go to the hospital. As for the airplane, the left wing was sheared off and both wings were perforated. It also spilled about 400 liters of fuel into the creek where it crashed.

NSW Fire and Rescue duty commander Drew Wilson said, "The aircraft is pretty well damaged but the pilot's compartment was pretty well in order so she's managed to just open the door and get out as far as I can tell." Wilson called the woman "pretty lucky" to have walked away from the crash.
