Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes For Gay Jokes And To Sean Hannity ..(Sort Of)

A recent dispute between Jimmy Kimmel and Sean Hannity has finally been settled, or has it? Jimmy Kimmel called for a truce Sunday on Twitter but also stoked the fire with some subtle shade. Kimmel recently came under fire when one of the words he said was interpreted as homophobic.

"I realize that the level of vitriol from all sides (mine and me included) does nothing good for anyone and, in fact, is harmful to our country," he said. "By lampooning Sean Hannity's deference to the President, I most certainly did not intend to belittle or upset members of the gay community and to those who took offense, I apologize."

The feud between Kimmel and Hannity escalated quickly, Kimmel has even experienced attacks and death wishes for his wife and child. Kimmel not-so-subtly dissed Hannity is his apology saying, "I am hopeful that Sean Hannity will learn from this too and continue his newly-found advocacy for women, immigrants and First Ladies and that he will triumph in his heroic battle against sexual harassment and perversion."

Hannity did respond to Kimmel's tweet and said he was busy but promised a "full and comprehensive" response on Monday. The whole feud between the personalities started after Hannity criticized Kimmel for making fun of Melania Trump's accent. He called him a "despicable disgrace" and an "ass clown."

The Fox News host also called Kimmel "sick, twisted, creepy, perverted weirdo" and a "holier-than-thou hypocrite" in reference to a "Man Show" episode where Kimmel asked women to touch his crotch and identify what was in there. Hannity also referred to Kimmel as the "late night misogynist" and "Harvey Weinstein Jr.," for his inappropriate acts.
