The arrest affidavit says Davis tampered with patients at the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital in Tyler, Texas. The Tyler Police began investigating February 8 of this year after the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital notified them of possible criminal activity. Two of the patients the hospital suspected Davis tampered with died, Christopher Greenaway, 47, and Perry Frank, age 61.

Two more patients, Joseph Kalina, 58, and Pamela Henderson, 63, were left with severe injuries including being left in a negative state. The investigation into the alleged tampering found that disturbances in patients' arterial line waveforms matched up with Davis presence in the hospital rooms. The cases were also reviewed by a radiologist who found that there was air in the patients' brains where there shouldn't be any.

The affidavit also states "preliminary conclusion found air was deliberately introduced into the arterial circulating using the patient's arterial line." Davis was in each of the patients' rooms and in one case, he entered the room of a patient who had a coronary artery bypass graft surgery for a little over a minute. He told the nurse he was resetting a pump alarm but staff believes he "manipulated the arterial line."

Hospital offices also found another incident that left air in one patient's brain, she now has suffered stroke-like symptoms and has limited mobility and visual problems as a result of Davis manipulating her arterial line. Davis was booked into the Smith County Jail for murder Tuesday night.

Tyler Police Chief Jimmy Toler said, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families who have been affected by these acts. The assistance and cooperation from the Smith County District Attorney and CHRISTUS have been extremely beneficial during the initial stages of this investigation."
