The most famous of Bill Cosby's accusers testified Thursday at his criminal trial about how he invited her to Lake Tahoe under the pretenses of discussing her career in 1982. The comedian then gave her a blue pill that immobilized her and he raped her in his hotel room. Janice Dickinson was the fourth woman to testify against Cosby to establish prior bad acts by the comedian during his retrial for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand.

Cosby is accused of sexually assaulting Constand in 2004 after giving the pills that were supposed to help her relax. A pretrial ruling by Judge Steven O'Neill allowed Constand and other accusers to testify. O'Neill also allowed the settlement amount in Constand's civil suit against Cosby to be revealed after Cosby agreed to the disclosure. The amount was revealed during prosecutors opening statements to be $3.38 million.
Dickinson's testimony describes how she complained of menstrual cramps while at dinner with Cosby prompting him to give her the pill. Cosby then took Dickinson to his hotel room which is when she began to feel woozy. Dickinson went on to describe how the pill left her unable to move as Cosby climbed on top of her and proceeded to rape her.

Dickinson came forward with her story on Entertainment Tonight in 2014 and said she wanted to include the description of her rape in her memoir. She was later told by the publisher and ghostwriter that it "would never get past Cosby's legal team." Cosby's trial this week has prompted numerous protestors at the courthouse including a topless former star of the "Cosby Show" who chanted "women's lives matter" and "Bill Cosby is a rapist!" while police tackled her into a bush.
