Only weeks after finding a hidden camera taped in the stall of a Starbucks restroom in North Fulton, police have discovered yet another hidden camera at the same location.
A coffee shop female employee first saw the suspicious camera hidden underneath a baby changing station when she went into the unisex bathroom.
Officer Howard Miller also said that the employee quickly informed her manager about it, who then called the police as well as their corporate office.
Police responded and took with them the recording device found in the said Starbucks outlet at 2705 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta on Thursday afternoon.
Investigators are still probing the case, with no established suspects yet. No one is in custody for the incident at this point.
No suspect was identified in the first case. Police said that in the first incident, the camera had about 25 videos stored on it, with several of those videos shockingly showing people using the restroom.
A Starbucks spokesperson said their employees are more frequently carrying out bathroom checks since the original incident to “prevent any foul play.” The coffee chain also added that their partners moved swiftly once they have discovered the device.
Last month, a spokesperson for the coffee chain also said they were “quite concerned” to learn about the incident and expressed gratitude to the customers and partners who involved local authorities.
No suspect has been identified in the first incident. It is not clear if the device was placed by someone who works for the store or an outsider. Similarly, a motive was not established.
