The Mormon church announced on Tuesday that it is parting ways with the Boy Scouts of America after its more than a century-old tie with the organization. The church will transfer its remaining 425,000-strong boys from the Boy Scouts program into an internally-run, gospel-focused youth group that it is developing.
The move comes as no surprise for many since some anticipated that the break-up is just but a matter of time since some of the recent decisions of the Boy Scouts had been at odds with the church’s conservative beliefs and practices. For one, the Boy Scouts in 2015 made the unprecedented move of allowing gay troop leaders, and last year, it also made way for girls to enter its ranks.

The Boy Scouts also announced last week its surprising, if not strange, decision to drop the word “Boys” from its name to reflect the inclusion of girls into its programs.

The Mormon church for a long time has stood as the most prominent sponsor of Boy Scout troops in the United States, comprising around 19 percent of the 2.3 million youth in the organization.
The big separation will take effect on December 31, 2019. The Mormon church is also creating its gospel-based youth program.
The church said in a statement that their youth program would “help all girls and boys, young women and young men discover their eternal identity, build character and resilience, develop life skills and fulfill their divine roles as daughters and sons of God.”
The Boy Scouts for its part thanked in a statement the thousands of Mormons who have served as scout leaders and went on to wish the church well on its new program. The organization also added that individual Mormons who may want to stay in the Boy Scouts may still do so and they will be integrated into other troops.
The Mormon Church’s decision to sever ties with the Boy Scouts was welcomed by many social media users with one saying it was just the result of the liberals murdering the Boy Scouts, while some disagreed with the move.

The Boy Scouts completely dropped "Boy" from their name. It is worse than allowing gays, they are simply trying to commit organizational suicide.
Let's be real here: boys can't be themselves with girls or gays around. They have to act polite, censor their own behavior, etc… This move kills the boy scouts as we know it. What happens to learning tough outdoors survival skills when you have to be politically correct? They go out the window.
Also, I would bet my entire paycheck that none of the Liberal cucks supporting this move have ever been in Boy Scouts.
I do have a question, though: now that the boy scouts are more longer the boy scouts, could another organization swing through and call themselves "Boy Scouts," and start all over again? Or would the (non-gender) Scouts be able to sue? If so, on what grounds?
The Mormons are in the right here.
However note that both orgs are shit now.
