Rudy Giuliani: ‘Firing Mueller Would Be Like Watergate’

Mr Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox News Sunday discussing both the, in his words, ‘rigged’ Mueller investigation and the upcoming North Korea – US summit, which appears to be back on track to happen in Singapore on 12 June 2018.

<b>NOKO – US Summit</b>

The former New York mayor claimed that the mainstream media was taken at speed this week when they decided to make fun of Mr Trump for cancelling the summit but were aghast when the North Korean sent a grovelling apology only 24 hours later stating they were ready to do ‘everything possible’ to make the summit happen.

Mr Giuliani stated that President Trump “has positioned it brilliantly, even his opponents would tell you that. He wouldn’t submit to that ridiculous comment about meeting on the nuclear battlefield. He cancelled it and now we have Kim Yung-Un back where he was before, talking about wanting to do it, meeting with the leader of South Korea.”

“I wouldn’t want to raise expectations, but I think the President’s strategy has played out brilliantly and the most remarkable thing is that he can do it with all these interruptions.”

<b> Mueller Investigation</b>

When asked about the pending Mueller investigation into possible Russian collusion during the Presidential campaign of 2016, Mr Giuliani responded: “this is rigged, you got 13 Democrats focused on Russia collusion, and now we’re into the basis of it being illegitimate.”

Asked whether he believes Mr Mueller or members of his team should be fired, he responded: “the president’s not going to fire them because that would be playing into the hands, of playing the victim, Watergate.”
