Women in the Catalonian village of L'Ametlla del Vallès voted to be able to bathe topless legally, a hot-buttoned issue in Spain now that summer is starting.
The voting round, to be answered with a simple yes or no, saw some 400 women participating and 61% voted for topless bathing and 39% against it. The result is legally binding.

In the Mediterranean countries like Greece, Spain, and Italy, nothing is as important during the summer months as swimsuits, ice-creams, sunglasses and the right sun-cream. If you’re a girl or woman on the beach and a friend or family member passes by, you must have the correct swimsuit on, meaning at least one of the latest trends being sold by Tezenis, Calzedonia or Etam not to be looking ridiculous.
Make sure you have a sun-cream that doesn’t spot your clothes when you go for the classic evening stroll and only go to the ice-cream parlor where the locals all lineup, and not to the cheap place where the tourists head off to (I’m looking at you Australian ice-cream).

As many Spanish will tell you, there is one more important difference to make as well, that is knowing where you can bathe topless. In the north of Spain, the Basque country and Catalonia, bathing topless is mostly acceptable for all women on the beaches.
However, in the village of l'Ametlla del Vallès, some 25 miles from Barcelona, there had never been a law passed on the issue but all the women just assumed they could bathe topless.
That is until a lifeguard from Andalucia, Southern Spain (which is a bit more strict Catholic), was recently transferred to Catalonia, Northern Spain (which is a bit more liberal), and told two women at a local pool to put their bikini tops back on, something which resulted in a lengthy discussion and him eventually calling the police.
To protest, the women of the village came to the pool with nipples drawn on their underwear and eventually were able to organize a municipal vote on the issue, one in which only females could participate.
As from this weekend, they’ll finally be able to take their tops off in l'Ametlla del Vallès without having to worry about the lifeguard.

Muh we wanna let the sun shine on our titties but you sicko dudes better not peek.
The sad facts are the types of women depicted in the pics are not what is seen normally at the nudie beaches. Think old, think bees hives or a coupla tangerines, and a pair of panty hose slung about the neck. LOL!!
