Less than 24 hours since shocking news broke out that rapper-singer XXX Tentacion was shot to death in South Florida comes the startling development that another rapper was shot dead. 21-year-old Jimmy Wopo is dead following a double shooting in the Middle Hill neighborhood in Pittsburgh late Monday afternoon.

Police said it was a case of a double shooting. They added that two men were found shot inside a car in the 2400 block of Wylie Avenue just after 4:20 p.m.

One of the victims was brought to the hospital in critical condition and later expired. Reports on the other one said he is in stable condition.
The authorities decided not to release yet the names of the two victims. It was the rapper’s manager, Taylor Maglin who confirmed his ward’s untimely death to a local Pittsburgh reporter.
Maglin also took later to social media to confirm Wopo’s death. He wrote: “I lost my brother today and it is the worst feeling in the world.
Wopo was an up-and-coming rapper whose multiple videos have surpassed 1 million views on Youtube including “Elm Street” and “Face Day Out.”
Wopo’s attorney, Owen Seman said he even spoke with his client about a contract with a major rap brand
Wopo’s real name was Travon Smart, and the medical examiner’s office confirmed that Smart wa shsot at 4:32 p.m. and layer died at UPMC Presbyterian shortly before 6 p,m,
No arrests have been made yet in relation to the shootings. Police said they believe it was an isolated incident. City homicide detectives are still investigating the matter.
The authorities are requesting anyone with information is asked to call 412-323-7800. Anonymous tips will be accepted.
Other celebrities and fans took to social media to express their grief over Wapo’s killing, including fellow high-profile rappers Pusha T and Juicy I.
