The five members of the infamous Spanish ‘Wolf Pack’ (La Manada in Spanish) were released from jail on a €60,000 bail as the judge contented they did not pose a flight risk. The release of the group has sparked new mass protests in many Iberian cities. The picture taken at the moment they walked out of the prison features on all Spanish newspapers today.
The infamous group who sexually assaulted and (probably) raped a young woman in drunken condition during the San Firmin festival in 2016 and then bragged about it on internet have become the icon of Spain’s metoo# movement.

One of the men recorded videos of the events on his phone and then shared it via Whatsapp with others, stating his friends and himself were known as the ‘Wolf Pack’ group.
Protesters in Madrid, Barcelona and Pamplona gathered for the last two days, shouting "enough macho violence." A 66-year-old female protester in Catalonia’s capital Barcelona said it was "a shame these scoundrel rapists get away so easily."

Mr Pablo Iglesias, the far-left leader of the Podemos party who supports the Socialist minority government, declared he would work to change the legal system. "The unworthy release of La Manada proves that it is necessary to take measures to make justice more effective in defending the rights of women in our country. We will work for it."
