South Carolina lawmaker and Republican US House candidate Ms. Katie Arrington, a Trump MAGA favorite, had to undergo further surgery on Sunday.
Her spokesman, Mr. Michael Mule, informed the public that Ms. Arrington underwent two major surgeries: the initial operation was a follow-up to the work done on Ms. Arrington's abdomen, while the second was for a spinal fracture and lasted a gripping six hours.

Mr. Mule added that Ms. Arrington "will have no neurological deficits or limitations moving forward and is expected to be out of bed and walking as early as the next few days."

"Katie may require one more minimal procedure, but that is not certain at this time. It is still expected that Katie will remain in the hospital for the next two weeks and will make a full recovery."
The driver of the other car, who hit them traveling in the wrong direction, 69-year-old Ms. Helen White of Ravenel, South Carolina, died of her wounds shortly after the accident.

The injuries suffered by Ms. Arrington’s friend, 59-year-old Ms. Jacqueline Goff, of Mandeville, Louisiana, were also serious.

Meanwhile many on social media site Reddit argued that a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on a US highway hitting Republican lawmakers seems quite suspicious.

- “Normally I'm highly suspicious of convenient deaths/accidents like this. But this is as much or more danger to the "hitman". Can't see a hitman taking a job where their odds of survivability to actually spend their money are ao low.”

I was thinking it was fishy from the 1st report. Not a lot of info about the others involved especially the other driver.
If your heading down the highway at night and a car is coming head on towards you in your lane it would be easy to avoid a collision by changing lanes or heading into the median or shoulder. That is taking for granted that Katie and Jacqueline were actually paying attention to what was in front of them and Helen not purposely trying to hit them.
Who reported accident as "Suspicious"? I haven't heard of any official report that it was anything but an accident. I am suspicious but I form opinions based on facts. It would take a very sophisticated plan to do this deliberately.

…. Authorities in South Carolina say the wrong-way driver who crashed into a car that carried a U.S. House candidate had hit another vehicle minutes earlier and drove away.
Charleston County Sheriff's Capt. Roger Antonio said 69-year-old Helen White struck the first vehicle Friday night as she turned onto U.S. Highway 17.
Antonio says White ended up driving the wrong way in the southbound lanes of the highway after the wreck and then slammed into the vehicle carrying Arrington.
White died, while GOP candidate Katie Arrington and the woman driving her were severely injured…..
For the record yes she was a Black Democrat, but don't think that has anything to do with it.
