State Representative Ms Katie Arrington, the Republican candidate for South Carolina’s first Congressional District who was involved in a horrible car accident two weeks ago which left one dead, shared the first photo of herself during her recovery in which she stated: "Thank you, family and friends from across our beautiful Lowcountry, state, and nation for your prayers and support."

The picture shows Ms. Arrington from a hospital bed whilst she overlooks the city of Charleston.

The legislator from Dorchester and Charleston counties, who had received US President Donald Trump’s explicit support, was the one that handed US Representative, Mr. Mark Sanford, the former South Carolina governor, his first ever election loss.

Psalm 116:1-2 - I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
— Rep. Just ten days later, a car hit her whilst driving in the wrong way on a US highway. As many commentators expressed their disbelief over a US Representative being hit by someone driving in the wrong way and conspiracy theories evolved over the origins of the accident, South Caroline police have since explained that the driver who was killed in the accident, 69-year-old Ms. Helen White, was trying to flee the scene of a hit-and-run.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office stated: "Helen did not stop for the collision, and continued driving northbound in the southbound lanes of US Highway 17."

"Deputies were dispatched to the hit and run just prior to receiving the call for the fatality."

Ms. Arrington’s spokesman Mr. Michael Mule was also happy to be able to announce that the driver of Ms. Arrington’s car, her friend Jackie, is recovering equally.

"Her friend Jackie Goff’s respirator was removed yesterday," Mr. Mule declared, "as Katie had requested for days, one of Jackie's first requests was to see Katie. Katie visited Jackie's hospital room yesterday evening. They prayed, cried tears of joy, and laughed together."
