Georgia - Men Disguised as Walmart Employees Try to Steal from Store

Some men disguised themselves as Walmart employees and attempted to steal merchandise from a store.

The police said the men walked to the back of the store and began loading up carts with items. Real employees of the store saw what they were doing, knew they weren’t working there and confronted the men.

The men in question then made up a story about picking up merchandise supposedly for another store. They then took off in a U-Haul.

It is not clear if the men were able to get some merchandise from the store or they were successfully deterred by the employees who questioned them.

Several images of the men caught by surveillance cameras were shared by the police. At least two black men can be seen wearing uniforms in the captured images.

Walmart was also in the news recently as Trump supporters called for a boycott of the store for selling “Impeach Trump” merchandise. The store has since taken off such items.

Disguising as workers of some stores has been a tactic by thieves and criminals to steal merchandise from an establishment. This isn’t the first time that Walmart was targeted.

Now, the Peachtree City Police are requesting the public’s help to find the men. Anyone with helpful information or tip should they recognize the men on the images shown is asked to immediately call the Peachtree City Police Department.
