The continued ‘confronting’ of Trump officials, as called upon by Democratic Representative Maxine Waters, continued today after a customer in a Virginia bookstore walked up to former Trump adviser Mr Steve Bannon and, out of the blue, called him a ‘piece of trash.’
The owner of the Virginia bookstore, Mr Nick Cooke of Black Swan Books in Richmond, explained that the former White House chief strategist was quietly browsing books and “minding his own business” when a woman confronted him.

Mr Cooke stated: “Steve Bannon was simply standing, looking at books, minding his own business. I asked her to leave, and she wouldn’t.”
“And I said, ‘I’m going to call the police if you don’t,’ and I went to call the police and she left. And that’s the end of the story.”

“We are a bookshop. Bookshops are all about ideas and tolerating different opinions and not about verbally assaulting somebody, which is what was happening."
Mr Bannon, the former White House chief strategist and editor in chief of Breitbart, grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He did not comment on the events.
