Many people don't know about the 21-foot rule, and if you don't know what it is it can save your life someday. A police officer in Sydney learned the hard way that anyone inside a 21-foot distance can stab an armed person before they can even draw their gun and get a shot off. That is why deadly force is authorized when a suspect has an edged weapon.

This attack nearly cost an officer his life and the fact that all those police are around and nobody shoots this guy is astounding. This person just attempted to murder a police officer and now he is fleeing and endangering the public. Thankfully, the 28-year-old suspect failed in his assassination attempt. The 48-year-old policeman who seemed to be the target of the attack was not seriously injured.

If you don't think that the police should have shot this guy on the spot, let me show you a video where one suspect armed with a knife stabs six police killing one because no one wanted to get their gun out and shoot him. Police are under such an intense microscope that they become afraid to use deadly force because they want to be politically correct and don't want to be accused of racism and sadly this type of hesitation costs people their lives.

The video is old and grainy but for clarification, the first officer the suspect stabs is struck in the neck and bleeds out while the other officers dodge his wild advances. I hope the officers in Sydney are all recovering well from the attack. Never let your guard down, not even outside the precinct.
