The West Hollywood City Council has set a terrible precedent and handed criminals exactly what they wanted on a silver platter: the removal of President Donald Trump's Walk of Fame Star from Hollywood Boulevard. It is sad to see the state of California when a memorial to a sitting U.S. President is removed because a few criminals don't like it.
Whatever happened to enforcing the law? West Hollywood Mayor John Duran tweeted Monday, "West Hollywood City council unanimously passes resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the Donald Trump star on Hollywood Walk of Fame."

Oh wait, it turns out the West Hollywood city council doesn't want the star removed for vandalism reasons, they want it removed because they think Trump is a sexist, bigoted, climate change denier. A statement from the West Hollywood City Council said, "Similar to how certain members of the entertainment community have been removed from the Academy of Motion Pictures, due to their actions toward women, reflecting a stance on their values by the Academy, this is an opportunity for decision-makers to take a stand on their values in support of women and against disturbing treatment of women."
When will Democrats of California learn to handle a loss gracefully? Instead, they want to smear the Republican President in anyway way possible even two years into his presidency, which has been a massive success. If you look at his presidency objectively, he is doing a great job. The economy is great, jobs are plentiful, the country is more secure, and America's standing in the world has improved.

Ultimately, the decision to remove the star will be up to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce who had this to say on Twitter:

This is just another example of the hypocrisy of the left. When Bill Cosby was convicted of being a serial rapist, activists called for his Walk of Fame star to be removed. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said in a statement that it has no intention of removing Cosby's Walk of Fame star. If alleged mistreatment of women is enough to have a star removed, why hasn't a convicted sex offender's star been removed?
By the way, it cost a celebrity $40,000 to have their own star. I hope they plan on giving Trump a refund if they follow through with the removal of his Walk of Fame Star.
