Democrat congressional nominee who is set to become the youngest woman ever elected to the house has banned the media from a public town hall, and her critics want to know why. If Trump were to ban media from a public meeting, the media would be blasting him and shouting from the tallest rooftops about how it's illegal and unethical to ban the media from a public town hall.
US House candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hasn't lived three decades yet, but I think she knew by banning the press the press would be outraged and in turn give her a free press. A tactic often used by presidential candidate Donald Trump while he was on the campaign trail. Cortez first drew heads when she took the win over longtime Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY).

She took to Twitter to explain the decision but her response is troubling. She claims she was making a "safe space" by banning the media yet the event was live-streamed, and her campaign will have access to the video archive just like the rest of the internet. So this wasn't some "safe space" for victims of abuse to tell their story, this was an attempt to exploit the public for material she could use in her campaign that no other media company would have the rights to.

Let's not skip over the fact that the events were LIVE STREAMED, so this wasn't a private "safe space." I guess Ocasio-Cortez thinks her districts' residents' stories of trauma are ok to be exploited by her campaign but must be off-limits to journalists. Wow! Trump kicks out 1 or 2 unruly journalists and he is impeding a free press but this dingbat bans them all and it’s mostly crickets.
I seem to remember how the Liberal Media is having a conniption-fit over Trump calling out the Media for fake news, lies and badgering the MAGA attendees.
I remember how the MSM encouraged Protesters to disrupt MAGA meetings so they could cover them and report NEGATIVE TRUMP news.
But here we have a SOCIALIST OPENLY blocking Media coverage and access.
Something Trump and MAGA voters have never done.
But where is the media, why is MSM silent?
Anyone would have to wonder why?
Lol even the 15,000 democrats who voted for her are already regretting it
