Australia - Chris Watts Who Killed His Family Sent Loving Texts Before Murdering Them

Text messages from the man accused of murdering his pregnant wife and their two daughters seem to show that he was a loving a father and was excited for the child he and his wife were expecting. 33-year-old Chris Watts sent emotional messages to his wife Shannan, 34, on June 19 just moments after she sent him a photograph of an ultrasound of their unborn child.

"Little Peanut! Love her/him already!!!" Watts said in response to a photo she messaged him of her ultrasound showing the tiny embryo of their future child.

Shanann then shared the response from her husband on Facebook saying, "I love Chris! He’s the best dad us girls could ask for." During a work trip to New Orleans in April, Shanann also posted saying, "He's my rock! He takes care of us girls unconditionally! Thank you baby for holding down the fort this weekend! Love you."

Shanann also wrote on Facebook: "I got a friend request from Chris on Facebook and I was like, ‘Oh, what the heck, I’m never going to meet him.

"I accept, one thing led to another and eight years later we have two kids, we live in Colorado and he’s the best thing that has ever happened to me. Because of my health challenges, I let him in … he knew me at my worst and he accepted me. Through sickness and everything, he’s been there. When I met Chris I pushed him away, I gave every excuse for him to run, I gave him an out every single day… I tortured him, I pushed him away … But he stuck around because he was the one for me, I can’t tell you how wonderful he is."

Shanann and her two young daughters were all found dead at inside gas and oil tanks at the plant where Chris Watts worked at in Frederick. The family members were hidden inside "mostly full tanks in order to conceal the smell," according to Denver 7. The case is being investigated by the FBI and Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Watts claimed he texted his wife several times with no response and became worried. After rushing home, he found it was empty and immediately filed a missing person report.

Charges against Watts have yet to be filed but he is facing three charges of murder as well as three charges of tampering with evidence.
