Ronaldo Sponsors ‘Deeply Concerned’ By Rape Allegations As Encounter Proof Emerges (Video)

The rape allegations by US national Ms. Katrhyn Mayorga made earlier this week (see our related coverage) continue to haunt global soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

He has now been sidelined from the Portuguese national team for at least the following four international games as national coach Fernando Santos noted that given the current commotion it would be unwise to call upon the superstar.

Mr. Santos announced his decision after a conversation with both Ronaldo himself and the Portuguese Football Federation head Mr. Fernando Gomes, saying Ronaldo "won't be an option for selection."

He did rule out however that the player's absence would be forever, claiming: "in the future, nothing prevents Cristiano from giving his contribution to the national team."

Furthermore, seeing the global coverage, two major sponsors have stated to be ‘deeply concerned’ by the allegations against Ronaldo.

Nike (who have a reported $1 billion contract with the player) said in a statement: "We are deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and will continue to closely monitor the situation."

EA Sports, maker of the widely popular FIFA games of which the player is a star (Ronaldo's image and likeness are featured in the top-selling series) claimed that it expects the athletes it promotes to "conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with EA's values."

His new football club Juventus which paid a $120 million transfer fee for him over the summer, released a statement backing the Portuguese-born athlete: "Cristiano Ronaldo has shown in recent months his great professionalism and dedication, which is appreciated by everyone at Juventus."

"The events allegedly dating back to almost 10 years ago does not change this opinion, which is shared by anyone who has come into contact with this great champion."

Ok I get it msm! Because one plays ball & the other does not. let one sit out four games & keep the other from even sitting on the bench.

We are to believe the Kavanaugh accuser without proof, even with all the dubious testimony and then take this dudes actions as a nothing burger & let him keep playing ball.

So what else is new?
