The Media Hypocrisy - Michelle Obama And First Lady Melania Trump
Michelle Obama gave her first post-White House interview to Ellen, revealing the answer to the question on everyone’s mind, ‘what was in the blue Tiffany box that Melania Trump gifted her upon her arrival?’ It turned out it was a lovely frame.
Michelle explained her confusion when handed the box.
It wasn’t protocol. She didn’t know what to do with the box. You can see the disgusting look on her face when mentioning the Tiffany box.
But wait, back in 2009, incoming First Lady Michelle Obama handed outgoing First Lady Laura Bush a gift upon arriving at the White House!
It conveniently matched her yellow coat, just as Melania’s matched her blue one. Perhaps Michelle forgot about the gift she gave Laura because it wasn’t that memorable? It most assuredly wasn’t from Tiffany & Co.
In the video below you can even hear the media mock Laura for her wardrobe. It’s disgusting how conservatives are treated.
“I mean, this is like a state visit, so they tell you that you’re going to do this, they’re going to stand here,” Obama said, while the exchange took place behind her on a big screen.”
“Never before do you get this gift, so I’m sort of like, ‘O.K., what am I supposed to do with this gift?’
And everyone cleared out and no one would come and take the box. And I’m thinking, do we take the picture with it?
And then my husband saved the day. See, he grabbed the box and took it back inside. But everybody cleared out. No staff, no one. I was like, what do you do with the box?”
From the very start of President Donald Trump’s term, some of the industry’s biggest designers took a public stance against dressing First Lady Melania Trump. To that, I thank them.
