Authorities have reported an incident that saw an unregistered sex offender arrested for trespassing behind Barstow Business. The arrest was made on Monday the 17th of July at around 6:37 a.m. The police authorities responded to the 1900 block of East Main Street for the trespassing report.
The police managed to identify the subject as Curtis Odie, 44, of Kansas who was sleeping behind the business. Despite being a Kansas resident, Odle explained that he was homeless and currently living in Barstow.
The Barstow Police Officials revealed that the records check of Odle were conducted by the officers during the trespass investigation, they also learned that he was a registered Sex Offender from the State of Kansas for over a period of one year.
Following a period investigation, it became apparent that Odle had not registered with the State of Kansas for over one year and as a result, he was out of compliance. Furthermore, Odie had not registered with the Barstow Police Department, which also made him out of compliance in the State of California.
Odle was placed under arrest and was transported to the Barstow Police Department where he was later booked into the High Desert Detention Center in the City of Adelanto.
