Thousands of counter protesters did show up as you claim, and there were arrests as you claim. They were mainly disorderly conducts, but you know what? They didn't murder anyone by running them over or injure several others. As for what they are fighting against, it's not the first amendment, but rather it's against hate filled cowards who are abusing it to further their own ends which is the corruption of all real Americans hold dear.
