Authorities have confirmed the death of two shooting victims in Aliso Veijo, California Thursday afternoon while another two people remain in critical condition. The shots were first reported at 2:48 p.m. in Ashbury Court according to a tweet from a lieutenant from the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Police first responded to Aliso Viejo Middle School near where the shots were heard. The victims of the shooting were a man and woman and the injured parties are man in their 50's. Lieutenant MacPherson confirmed the incident did not require schools to shelter in place in a follow up tweet.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department was seen investigating the incident and two blue tents were pitched in the residential neighborhood where the officers were working.

K-9 units were seen sniffing around trees and shrubbery in the area of the crime but no information has been released regarding exactly what happened or who the suspects are at this time.
