New Zealand PM Jacinda Adern has reacted to the scandal that erupted during the ‘Thor Ragnarok’ promotion tour (in an interview with British magazine Dazed & Confused) when Director Taika Waititi, who is of Maori origin, outlined that he had received racist prejudice in his home country.

When asked about New Zealand, Mr Waititi stated: “It's racist as f***. I mean, I think New Zealand is the best place on the planet, but it´s a racist place.”

Many New Zealanders commented on social media on the issue, stating that they thought the Maoris themselves were also problematic, to which Mr Waititi stated: “Yes there are racist Maori. Many in my family too. It's everywhere. That's the damn point.”

To put the issue to bed, leftwing leader Ms Jacinda Adern addressed the concerns in an interview today, when she said: “I’d like to think that we are doing our best….”

When the interview asked her if New Zealand was a racist as ‘F’, she answered: "I don't know where F sits on the quantum!"

"I think probably you'd be hard-pressed to find a country that didn't have racism in it."

"Is New Zealand one of them? Undeniably. Is there racism in most countries? Undeniably. Can we do better? Yes."

"I'm really proud of the efforts we make daily to do better."

Racism will stop existing when minorities stop existing.

Generally, all forms of Bigotry will cease when all of humanity has learned that Difference is a quality we should treasure. not denigrate. I would expect this would be year Inifinity minus one. Who would want to live in a world where every person came off of Mother Natures

The only true minority is the individual. When rights are recognized to represent one and not some group, we can start to make progress with "racism". The problem with group rights is there is no cookie cut individual that can be spoken for by some bully who claims to be a leader for the group.
