A package containing nails and shrapnel blew up on a conveyor belt in the FedEx centre building in Schertz (just near San Antonio, Texas) an hour ago. It is understood the package was en route to Austin, Texas.
A woman was hurt and is being treated by medical emergency services.

In the wake of the recent four explosions that have happened in the past weeks, FBI has been called in to investigate the blast at the FedEx depot.

On Monday already, Austin police explained they were looking for a suspect after the city was struck by a fourth package bomb this month (see our related coverage).
Schertz police Lt. Manny Casas explained that a medium-sized box exploded. An unnamed woman was treated for a “possible sound injury.”
The events took place in Schertz which is located 22 miles east of San Antonio and 73 miles south of Austin.
