I've been waiting for this day for about a decade. The rumors became so prevalent that in the past few years they've become something of an open secret. It was years ago when an ex-roommate who happened to be as close to being a Hollywood insider as a kid from outskirts-of-nowhere, Tennessee can be brought my attention to the backstory, then that blind item that was long attributed to Robert Downey Jr. from the blog Crazy Days and Nights. When I heard the news that Nickelodeon had "finally parted ways" with the biggest writer, director and producer they've had in a quarter of a century straight out of the blue, I thought to myself, here it is. It's beginning. It's finally happening. The rumors have gotten louder as of late and with the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns still in swing, I was amazed no lids had yet been blown off.

It's mostly circumstantial still, of course, there's his weird Twitter feed where he's constantly talking about the feet of the young girls who stars in his shows. The stories of pool parties without parental supervision, "backstage footage" where he sits in hot tubs with the likes of Amanda Bynes. Then there's the weird subtextually sexual scenes that only make it as far as the cutting room floor (and perhaps Schneider's own personal collection). Like this one featuring Aeriana Grande squeezing a potato and groaning, "Ugggh, give up the juice."

Speaking of Amanda Bynes, there are rumors that her unhinged behavior may be, in part, seated in years of abuse at the hands of Dan and those like him.

Once again, for the most part, it's just some unnerving and creepy things that have unsettled more and more people for years, but the rumors just kept becoming more and more widespread and had been circling for years. It's a case of guilt by association but there's the fact that he was friends and colleagues with Brian Peck. An article from the LA Times from 2002 was literally entitled <a href="articles.latimes.com/2002/jun/23/entertainment/ca-lucas23">"Groomed to Be All That,"</a> about the "comedy boot camp" that Peck and Schneider worked where they "discovered" Amanda Bynes. Peck had sex with a Nickelodeon star who is not named and then there's Jason Michael Handy another Nickelodeon Jason James Murphy a convicted sex offender who worked at Nickelodeon until it was discovered he was a convicted sex offender and pedophile. But once again, this is just guilt by association (by the forkloads) and circumstantial evidence (by the truckloads).

Among the things that have raised eyebrows are his tweeted photos of the toes of his young female stars. Additionally, there have been issues with bloated budgets and long production days on Schneider’s shows.
Schneider has had well-documented temper issues for years. I hear there was a flareup last week during a meeting he had with Nickelodeon executives where they indicated to him that Game Shakers was not getting renewed for a fourth season. Sources say that Schneider’s reaction was, at least in part, due to the fact that Game Shakers was about to wrap production on its third season the following day with a cliffhanger season finale, which would leave fans without closure.
I hear at the meeting Schneider also was told that, with his other Nick comedy, Henry Danger, on hiatus, another show (I hear it’s Austin & Ally creators Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert’s new Nick series, Cousins for Life),would move into the production space in the Nickelodeon-owned Burbank studios which has housed Schneider’s series exclusively for the past few years. Sources say that Schneider objected to the prospect of having to share the office and production space with the non-Bakery show.</blockquote>
It's been a long time coming and it hasn't come yet, but we'll be keeping our eyes open here at The Goldwater as the story develops.
